Sea Mist Nagara

This mare was a bit of an impulse buy on my behalf as her pedigree is the same as the dam line of my good horse GrandView Fox In Sox so it was a no brainer for this mare to join our broodmare herd.

Carbine (Imp) x Native Brew xx

6th December 2006 | Homozygous Black | 16.1hh

AWHA registered Warmblood mare

SEA MIST NAGARA is a beautiful homozygous black mare by the imported Hanoverian stallion CARBINE. She was broken in with much training however is now in her element as a mother.

SEA MIST NAGARA is a delight to handle and is an excellent mother to her foals. She is an easy and fertile breeder, calm in a vet crush and travelling in a float. She has been well cared for - regular farrier and worming schedule, vaccinations and is fed high quality hard feeds and hay.

The temperament and movement of SEA MIST NAGARA have been passed on to her foals. Her 2017 filly has been started under saddle and is described as being 16.3hh (still growing), has three lovely big paces, has more woah than go and is amateur friendly.

CARBINE, the sire of SEA MIST NAGARA, is still the highest-scoring colt within the Australian Warmblood Horse Association (AWHA) licensing. He won the 5yo Champion of Champions at the Queensland Young Dressage Horse competition and is the sire of many talented eventers.

CARBID, the grandsire of SEA MIST NAGARA, was the Reserve Champion of his performance test in 1993, where he demonstrated excellent rideability and superb jumping. CARBID had the presence, correct conformation and gaits to become an essential Hanoverian sire.

CALYPSO II was the first Holsteiner to be stood in the Hanoverian breeding area. He was much sought after by breeders and proved an outstanding sire of show jumpers.

COR DE LA BRYÈRE is the stallion that revolutionised jumping horse breeding. He was not only a sire himself, but a sire of sires and his name is what astute breeders like to see, especially on the mare line, for ‘Cord’ tends to give great form over a jump.

2023  Charlie had an absolutely cracking black/brown filly  (GrandView Glittering Prize) which although is a beautiful filly she didnt get the roan gene from her sire Sir Gluckskeks.

2024 Charlie is in foal to the stunning homozygous black grulla lusitano Don Malagueno for a guaranteed grulla foal.
