Parco's Fancy Girl

We are excited to offer this mare for sale. She is by the Athens Olympic champion stallion Parco out of a Sir Tristram mare.  The perfect combination of pedigrees to produce some cracking eventing types.

Pepper is by Parco who is by one of the world’s greatest jumping stallions, Darco. This outstanding stallion won many World Cup Grand Prix’s and ended 7th at Barcelona Olympic Games. He’s a son of Lugano van Laroche, one of the great sires of Belgiun breeding. Darco, has produced among the best : Sapphire : 6th Beijing Olympic Games and 7th Aachen World Equestrian Games, Trudo King Darco : Atlanta Olympic Games, Belgium Champion and 5th at St Gall European Championships. He has also produced the stallions : Non Stop, Ogano Sitte, Winningmood vd Arenberg.



Parco is undoubtedly one of the greats. Ridden by Ludo Philipaerts, his competition record is made up of a list of wins and placings. At 8 years old Parco was Belgium Show Jumping Champion, and at 9 he was 9th on the list of best show jumpers worldwide.


Parco competed at and was placed in every major competition; his achievements include:
4th – 2003 European Championships
7th – 2003 World Cup Final
4th – 2004 Athens Olympics
9th – 2005 World Cup Final
1st – 2006 Global Champions Tour
9th – 2006 World Equestrian Games

Pepper is out of a Thoroughbred mare that goes back to Sir Tristram who undoubtedly has produced some top jumping and eventing horses.

Pepper is easy to handle in every way.....catch, rug, vet, trim, float.  She has been checked over breeding wise by Louise Cosgrove and is currently in foal to our palomino, Grandview Gold Star who has since been gelded.

Grandview Gold Star is the only Palomino in the world by the 2 times Olympic champion Big Star, who won gold in London in 2012 and Rio in 2016.

Following his gold medal wins in London and Rio, Big Star had become one of the greatest showjumping stallions that in 2017 he was made an ambassador of the BWP Studbook & Nick Skelton himself has referred to Big Star as “the best horse I have ever ridden”!
